How to find treasures in the heart of Hauts-de-France
🕰️ Why not miss the Amiens flea market?
The Amiens flea market is one of the must-see events for lovers of antiques, vintage finds, and collectibles in France. After the famous Lille flea market, it is often considered the second largest event of its kind in the country.
Twice a year, more than 80,000 visitors and some 2,000 exhibitors (professionals and individuals) stroll the sidewalks of Amiens each year to unearth a hidden gem. It covers approximately 15,000 m² in the city center of Amiens, with more than 50 streets involved.
The official address is on Rue du Général-Leclerc in the historic center.
Whether you’re a foreign resident living in France or simply passionate about antiques and vintage decor, this day is for you: a friendly atmosphere, an eclectic selection, and treasures galore.
You’ll also find yourself in an exceptional and historic setting: the “Little Venice of the North,” rich in its many canals and hortillonnages (300 hectares of floating gardens), offering a cultural and architectural heritage that’s well worth exploring.

✅ Tips for bargain hunting like a pro in Amiens
Arrive early, ideally by 5:00 AM, to have the best selection and spot the best deals.
Bring small change—some stalls still accept cash for small transactions.
Easy transportation: parking on the outskirts and walking into the city center can be simpler than searching for a spot on crowded streets. Also, plan ahead if you’re buying bulky items.
Travel light but be prepared: sturdy bags, change, and a small trolley or rolling bag if you’re buying furniture. Remember to pack warm clothing, rain gear, and good shoes.
Spot the right items:
Antique ceramics: look for manufacturing marks and authentic chips.
Vintage furniture: check the structure, any restoration work, and signs of wear.
Decorative objects: small, easy to transport, and photogenic for Instagram/Pinterest.
For exhibitors: if you wish to sell, check the registration requirements, fees, and exhibitor hours (often starting at 6:00 AM). Visit the official website here for more information.
